An Albany man who admitted to stabbing an acquaintance to death was sentenced to decades in prison, authorities announced Tuesday, March 31.
Anthony Boyd, 36, got 25 years behind bars for the killing of Devin Brevard in September 2025, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
Boyd and Brevard, a 29-year-old Albany man, were smoking synthetic marijuana in an apartment on Sept. 25, 2025, and began arguing, prosecutors said. The confrontation turned physical, and Boyd stabbed Brevard five times, according to investigators.
